Last night I was up til 5 AM editing my video.
It was just after midnight that I realized how long of a night it was going to be until I was done.
At this moment, I easily could have said “You know what, it’s late, I’m tired, I’ll just finish this in the morning”.
But I had this feeling inside of me of pure determination to keep pushing.
I was dead set on having the video by 8 AM, and I did.
Now, I will be adjusting my workflow so that this doesn’t have to happen again, but it gave me the idea of the “superpower” all of us have.
This is the state of flow you can unlock when you harness discipline for an intrinsically motivated goal.
It’s what leaves you tired, yet excited to get back after some much-needed rest.
While it’s not all fun 100% of the time, making videos feels good.
The fact that I can make money online by talking about tech in my bedroom is insane.
Getting clear on what my goals were, and what needed to be done to get there has unlocked a level of discipline I only could have wished for 6 months ago.
Harnessing this “superpower” can help you make extraordinary progress in record time.
For this week’s action step, get clear on what you want to accomplish this year. Find the thing that excites you and can get you there.
Things I’ve been working on
I compared the Steam Deck OLED with the ROG Ally and the two are pretty damn close. For me, I much prefer the deck for traveling.
